Are You D*cking Around?

Yep, this is how I talk and I know if you've followed me for any length of time, you know I say things in this way to get you to look up.


Because if I can't your attention, you're going to be asleep at the wheel for your entire life and I am not down for shouldn't be either.

Why do we procrastinate?

Couple of reasons come to mind and from experience.

  1. We are scared. When you're scared, you freeze. I have never really been frozen by this feeling, that is until I really began leveling up in all areas of my life. When I stopped telling myself the story that I wasn't meant to be a coach and help women change their lives, that is when I did find myself occasionally frozen.

  2. We don't know what we want to accomplish. Simply put, you have no idea what your outcome is, the 'what' you're doing. If you don't have clear goals and objectives, it's impossible to move forward.

  3. You don't know your 'why'. This is a big one for those who want to build a business, but seem to stall on doing the tasks to make it happen. If it's not compelling, you won't move into action!

  4. You have no faith in what you can create. Without faith that this is going to happen for you, your mind will feel your resistance and keep showing you proof for why it's not possible for you.

  5. Lastly, you don't have systems in place. Even though coaches and mission driven entrepreneurs love to be in the feels (the balanced ones anyway), we sometimes forget that we do need that masculine energy side to really get shit done. Get some systems in place and increase the productivity!

So, what do I do to insure I don't get trapped in the maple syrup of my mind?

  1. I make a list of things that need to happen. Yes it's simple, but also easy to not do it. There are a ton of apps for this, we use To Doist in our company and love it!

  2. Journal- if you are a client, you know I am obsessed with this! Journalling will keep you in the zone and that will keep you moving!

  3. Take a break, yep, I said it. Sometimes you simply need to chill for a day. For me, taking a break gives me some time to really unplug, but then get super excited to start up again.

  4. Reach out to other people in your network who get it. Show the vulnerability and let them know you're stuck. Tell them you need some help moving out of the sledge!

  5. Focus on the WHY. Procrastinating on the stuff you may not love, but know you have to do comes back to your 'why'. It's so much easier to move that butt when you can anchor to your why.

  6. Hire a coach or join a mastermind community. Obviously I would love to have you in ours if it's a fit, regardless of where you land, land somewhere you pay to play. Free anything will simply NOT get you the results and what is the point of being coached if you're not getting results?

So, that's it, some of the things I do to move my ass into gear!
