Is Your Life F'd? Nope, Your Beliefs Might Be Though

When you were growing up, what did you want to be? Did you even think about it?

What did that life look like? Were you a ballerina? Astronaut? Doctor?

I didn't think about too much to be honest.

I think my ideas were more about fitting in. Coming from the family I came from, survival was the name of the game. Was there love in my house? Yes, of course, but not the kind of love I wanted or maybe even needed, so daydreaming about what I was going to be when I grew up was last on the list.

As I grew up, I started to 'model' my friends. They were signing up for University or College so I thought, "Yes...yes that's what I need to fit it, I should go to school". Only I had a less than zero desire to do that, so I didn't.

It left me feeling like shit. Why didn't I want that? Well, I didn't want that because I was put here to make a different kind of impact (same as you).

So sister, what if you finally admitted this. That you are reading this because 'impact' is where it's at for you, not just following the herd just to fit in?

What is the scariest thing about going after what we want?

For me, it's a few things.

  1. Fear of success

  2. Fear of failure

  3. Fear of boredom

  4. Fear of it not fulfilling me

These are no bullshit real things for me, things I have to go to battle with often and remind myself that they are all stories I have created in my head from years of conditioning...stories I can undo, if I choose to.

So what is scary for you?

What are YOUR stories for why staying put is the easier thing?

Write it out, sit down and write it all out for yourself.

You might start with the following:

"Quitting my job means I will be broke"

"I need an MBA to run a company"

"I don't know how to start a business"

"What if it fails?"

Then, write out the consequences of those stories. Make them painful to write, otherwise, your brain won't get the message and change won't happen. Tony does this in his event Unleash The Power Within, he calls it the Dickens Process. In person or even virtually, this is one of the most intense exercises I have ever experienced.

When you have your new story or belief about why the opposite positive story is a better option, focus on THAT, not the shitty old beliefs.

As always, reach out if you need some help with this.

In our STO Academy, we focus a LOT of energy around this, this is ground zero.

Have fun with this, it's meant to open you up to what's actually possible for you!

Big love,
